ABOUT ME

I'm an actor, teaching artist, and intimacy director-in-training currently based in Des Moines, Iowa.

I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a B.A. in Theatre Performance and Theatre for Youth and Communities, which are perfectly suited for my two main life passions: performing and teaching! 

​

These passions have taken me to regional work in Iowa, Wisconsin, and the beautiful Appalachian mountains of Kentucky. When I am not away on contract, I get the absolute delight of creating daring and visceral productions with Rising Fire Theatre, for which I serve as a company member.

I'm an active teaching artist and cherish my time working with youth in schools and theatre programs. During my time at UNI, I had the opportunity to learn about and implement a sensory friendly production design for Cinderella. It sparked a curiosity in me for accessible theatre, which resulted in my position as an elementary Special Education Associate. I strive to bring these ability inclusive practices and considerations to my work as both a teacher and performer.

As a person that also values equitable and safe practices, I'm currently training in Intimacy Direction with TIE and IDC, through which I recently earned my Consent Forward Artist Certificate. It excites me to share this important work with local theatres and educational institutions!

I'm an artist that thrives in a collaborative and team-focused environment. I love getting to meet new communities of people, and growing alongside artists that are invested in creating high caliber art. I bring energy, professionalism, and a "get the job done" attitude to every project I'm a part of, big or small. If you can relate, I hope to connect with you!
